centroid
This is one that I hadn't tried before, so its a new one to my Messier collection.30x300s subs with the SXVF-H9C, and the 12" LX200R at f/7.RA guiding only. The 'weather girl' said that the air was going to be dry tonight, but it most certainly wasn't. The dew shield was very wet by the time I'd finished.Dave

Dangerous-Dave
Great shot Dave, all my kit is swimming in dew from a trip out in the sticks. It was a damp one up here.

Your big scope came in handy for that one DaveNor was I Martin, and it was Dennis's (roundycat) image that brought it to my attention.Having a lot of moisture in the air, really isn't good news for galaxy imaging, especially at long focal lengths.Steve, there was frost on the grass, and the obsy roof, but turret seems to give a bit more protection than did the roll-off-roof. Albeit, there were times during the winter, when the dew shield was iced up.Still, I'm happy to have got four decent imaging sessions in, in a week, which is more than I managed all winter. The forecast for next week, seem to be back to the cloudy skies again Dave

roundycat
surprising what you can find when you have a good look around the Plough. I had a go last night through the mist and moisture, frost everywhere by 3am and this morning it looked like someone had been in the obs with a hosepipe.Dennis
