Final setup on M83

Hi all,

Here you have a snapshot of my session last night, testing the final setup I've come with for doing EEVA at home:

M83.thumb.jpeg.a6aa70a6406c07d2ed2dca9aa22a2e33.jpeg

I  was concentrated so much in trying to use all the capabilities of my gear (dark, flats, camera cooling and guiding) that I forgot to check the focus. I mean, it somehow doesn't look sharp enough, don't you think?. Maybe I should check the collimation next time.

The gear:

The gear:

  • Sky-Watcher HEQ5
  • Celestron C8 XLT
  • Celestron f/6.3 reducer/corrector
  • Optolong 2" UHC filter
  • ZWO ASI533MC Pro
  • Sky-Watcher Evoguide 50-ED
  • Optolong 1.25" UHC filter
  • ZWO ASI 224MC

The software:

  • CDC
  • EQMOD
  • SharpCap
  • PHD

Thanks for looking,

NV

Looks like you are now well set up for a fantastic EEVA journey. Always good to check collimation now and again, although in my experience the celestron scopes hold collimation very well - I use to tweak it maybe once a year.
