You can pick the OTAs up for around 300 secondhand, the mounts for about 500.

Thats a good scope for little money secondhand, I think I will stick to my 5inch though.

The 6" AR is probably to big for the lxd55 mount, anyway...or at least pushing the limits.

He may not really know the difference between apo and achro, if he's not been deeply involved in the hobby.

I hate people who put reserve bids on things. If he's not going to sell at less than the reserve price, why doesn't he just put that price in as the starting price, or buy it now price? Does he think people are more likely to pay the price if they get there a little at a time?

I'd sell the two seperately....and put them on a astro site. Theres a lot of big refractors going on Ebay these days, he might not get a decent price.
