Colour saturated moon March 18th

Quick process from last night.

Should really have tried this when the moon was at its highest. But the little reflector is quite sharp. And with good focus its pulled out a reasonable image.

Amazing how much hidden colour is in those minerals on the moon

Absolutely stunning mineral moon shots Neil. They have inspired me to have a go at shooting one myself although I will use a dslr.

Thanks Martyn. Ive never used a DSLR believe it or not. Good luck when you try. Its good to motivate anyone. No matter what the art.

So glad you found it interesting.

Lots of detail there Neil. Like Martyn, I have never tried a colour shot of the moon but it’s definitely one for the future 👍

Just a bit of fun Trevor. The Orion was too big and a lot of hassle for a lower down moon. The cassegrain is way to long focal length. So the little Newtonian is very capable for things like this. Enjoyable getting such a little regarded scope producing images. Don't see to many with one of these. To bring the colours out you have to saturate quite a lot.

Cheers
