The California Nebula

After my disaterous first light attemp with my Sharpstar 61EDPH too close to the bright moon, I got another go at it without the moon and was able to confirm that the moon was in deed the issue.

 

this was about 4 hours with the 61 EDPHII, with an L-pro and the ASI2600mc.

That's a great image 🙂 
I love the deep red colour and the fact there are so many stars but they are small and very natural so do not detract from the main target (nice colour stars too).

Very nicely done.  I much prefer this with the red like you have done it.  Lovely detail as well as the surrounding nebula.

Nope.  Never 😂. We always discover some new technique or trick and go back to the old data!

Great colour in the California and you got some of the lovely dust in the background too. Well worth the effort.
