Canon 10d settings

Does anybody know what settings should be used with regard to the colour temp on this camera. Does it depend on what i am imaging?

Also does it matter which parameters setting i use. Its all a bit new and very deep, any advice welcome. Got some shots of the moon and M42 last night. Took a lot of processing to remove the horrible orange glow. Think i will have to invest in a lpr filter

I can't comment on the specifics for the 10d, but on the 450d I leave the white balance on Auto, and let DSS adjust the whitebalance for me in stacking.

sorry i mean the colour temp settings what does this need to be? does it matter?

Do you use adobe rgb as the setings or just standard?

The colour temp is, I believe, controlled by the white balance settings, I very rarely change it from Auto. For daytime photography shooting in RAW means I can adjust it in processing anyway, and for Astro, I let DSS auto adjust it for me. I use the standard camera settings for RGB.

Hi Ronaldo!

You should image in RAW format with the 10D. ADOBE RGB Colour room is o.k.

I am using these parameters too. An IDAS LPS filter is a must for getting

away with light pollution.
