Cg5 mount controls

I have an unused  cg5  advanced  mount  which I  have just discovered is a goto.

Forgive me but-  does this need a computer to control it.

I m not looking for instructions , if it does  I wont  be using it  but I would like something which would set itself up using its own control .

Mainly for an 8kg refractor with digital camera attached ,occasionaly an 11kg Newtonian  but only visual .

You need a hand control then although ypu will need the right version.This on the Nexstarsite will give you info on which hand control to use.
