Comet Leonard - 22-11-21

Despite the strong moonlight I was pleased to catch Comet Leonard this morning.  I had to use a triband filter to combat the Moon but it still shows up well at around magnitude 7.  It is up in Coma Berenices at the moment and may hit magnitude 4 in a couple of weeks as it heads towards Arcturus.  This is a short 5 minute live stack from Sharpcap using a 102ed refractor and Altair 533c camera.  Worth catching if you have clear skies in the next few weeks.

Thanks for the heads up. Leonard could be naked-eye visible in December, so fingers crossed.

It passes very close to M3 on 3rd December.
