Last of Cygnus until 2022!

Recommended Posts

Final image for this year of the Cygnus region of the Milky Way Galaxy. Taken using a Nikon D7500 and Samyang 50mm f1.4 lens (stopped down to f2.8) from Brecon Beacons National Park. The camera and lens were mounted on a Sky Watcher Star Adventurer Pro 2i allowing 15 x 120sec exposures at ISO 800.

Hey Paul, for the price, the Samyang 50mm is very good. The focus mech is spot on and as long as you stop it down to about f2.0 or 2.8 it will produce clear images without all the issues you'll encounter at f1.4. Having said that, I'm not sure there would be much between the Canon and Nikon?
