Interesting Jovian moon formation

Tonight Europa and Callisto are close visually and interestingly (I thought) although they look a similar size (with Ganymede obviously larger), Callisto is distinctly less bright and a brownish colour compared to Europa yet it is physically larger. Seeing is a bit mushy but hopefully will settle later on. Yet another clear night by the looks of it!

I guess that makes sense given how different they look and how different their albedos are- nice to see it like that though

Now Callisto is directly below Ganymede and the colour difference is obvious again

Hi Mark

In my small scope the colour difference isn't noticeable but it was interesting to watch them change their relative positions.
