Will a focal reducer add to my happiness?(!)

OK guys.

I've got a Celestron 8se, an WO 2" star diagonal, a 13mm Televue Ethos and various other tiddly eye pieces.

Would I be happier if I bought a focal reducer?

(BTW, I do visual. Photography is too scary.)

Hi Lulu,

I used to use an F/6.3 focal reducer with my Celestron C8 and found that it worked very well for getting low power, wide fields of view. I had the Celestron version (made in Japan). All of a sudden you have an F/6.3 8 inch scope !.

Yep , the F6.3 reducer is your best bet.

The Antares version is as good and its cheaper. Rother Valley Optics often has them in stock.
