Uv/IR filter question

Can anyone tell me do I need a uv/ir filter fitted using a zwo533mc it will be used on both a refractor and a reflector and am I right in thinking you can thread into the 11mm spacer in front of the AR window not sure off hand what that thread is .

I've the same camera & yes it is needed to help reduce star bloat. You'll find a T2-1:25" filter holder that came with the camera, this screws into the 11mm spacer, the filter then screws into filter holder.

If your using a decent LP filter (IDAS D2, Astronomik etc) then it has IR/UV cut out anyway.

Thanks David I do use the D2 but don’t use it all the time ,
