EQ5 Deluxe polarscope

Hi guys i seem to have a different polarscope than my old one. Before i just orientated the plough to match the scope then put polaris in the small circle.

With this according to this vid How to Polar Align Your Mount Using the Polar Alignment Scope - Orion Telescopes - YouTube

i just put 6 at the bottom and software can show me where to put polaris. this is not synscan just the cheap single RA drive. is there software for pc that i can get for this ? I Do  have the old Jason Dale polar finder already. But would this work by just rotating the scope so 0 is at the top. 6 at the bottom and placing polaris where its showing on the middle circle of the ring ? cheers for any feedback

Hi take a look at polar alignment pro it has different one here are the one it has

Polar Scope Align Pro (PS Align Pro) is the app I use on my iPhone. Not sure if it's the same as @Neil H but the images look similar. It has a function where you can program in the orientation of your polarscope so that you can see a picture that closely resembles what you can actually see through the scope.

Looking on a phone, but would prefer a pc version. Doesnt seem as catered for on pc

It produces a picture for you to refer to so that you can make manual adjustments to put Polaris at the right spot on the reticle.

Hi the polar apps are just for the polar scope alignment , no synscan needed

Polar alignment pro does everything from levelling the mount to polar alignment it also has day time polar alignment which is fairly good it's only a tiny bit out but I find using it day time then check at night Polaris is not out by much it will 100% be in the polar scope ready for fine adjustment
