ZWO EAF to SW dual speed focuser with belt

Anyone knows a way to attach the ZWO EAF to the Skywatcher 200PDS focuser using a belt? Something like the DIY one in the picture.
My idea is to use it manually when needed just removing the belt.
I could use a 3D printer for the bracket and the pulleys.
Would it work?

No need to slip the belt off for manual focusing.

Make the belt just tight enough to drive the focuser reliably via the motor and the knob should still rotate easily for manual use.
I have converted three focusers to belt drive and all allowed the belt to slip smoothly when manually focused.
The belt is not the same pitch as the knurling on the focuser knob. So relies on friction instead of driving the teeth.
Some DC motors can be controlled by specific software but don't have absolute positioning like stepper motors.
Stepper motors must be driven exclusively. You cannot override them manually without losing the drawtube position.
