Need help mapping a constellation

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for either a resource that shows stars visible to the human eye in the northern hemisphere [south east UK specifically].

OR

Someone who is proficient at Astrology to help me create an accurate chart from the names of stars I have included and/or screenshots I've taken using starwalk2

I've been trying to form an accurate chart of what I can see as a great eye.
At it's centre, Vega
to the east, Ras Alhague
to the north, Hercules and Etamin
to the south, Deneb and Sadir
to the west, Alderamin

There are far more stars that make up this constellation and I know the locations of each star, but I'm struggling to recreate such a large conjunction on a 2d plain. I want the representation to be as accurate as possible, but I'm merely a casual stargazer.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Please feel free to DM me.

Hi Fexterity

I have no proficiency in astrology, but may I suggest that you look at a free app called Stellarium. It will tell you the Right Ascension/Declination and Azimuth/Altitude of all the stars you have listed.

Sorry, Astrology is not in my skill set. I also don't think many here would have much more expertise in it either.

However, there are tools such as Cartes de Soliel and Stellarium, amongst other, which can show star positions from any location on Earth, over a reasonable period of time.
