Nikon D5300 laptop to shutter cable?

I have an intervalometer, I have everything I need now to set it all up automatically on my laptop but my issue is this, I don't know what cable I need. It says it's a USB and I've read it's a micro but also some how a mini USB, neither look like they're the same shape as the port. The Nikon shutter is some purpose built port I believe, some rectangle. I want to control the shutter and have it set up automatically all on one system, rather than having a random intervalometer connected manually.

A quick search makes me think it is a USB Mini-B, something like this.  I have one of these, which is really useful due to the length, but I am sure there are cheaper options about.

The cable has a part number of UC-E16 or UC-E17, it looks like a standard mini-B but it's not, it's a proprietary terminal; can be had for under ten notes on Amazon.

As Sean says for cable  , you can control via Astrophotography Tool 👍 iso 200 for Dso targets .
