Learning to love Luna... the saga continues....

OK... still on my quest to learn to love Luna... so before embarking on a night of Luna washed galaxy imaging with the newly modified 1000D I decided to grab a quick Luna at f6.3 on the CPC800 and than boost the colors a bit...

So here it is....

All Criticisms welcomed...

I think I have over exposed it as I have butnt out areas... and got the filename wrong...

The tweaking has shown up the differences in soil colour really nicely.

Like deep sky images, try stacking a number of lunar image subs for higher quality.

I have another 15 of the same shot... but registrax doesnt want to play with them at native resolution from the 1000D any tips?

Oh, I don't have experience of a Canon. I use a Nikon.

I use Astroart to stack most of my images.

Processed the raw and played a bit more... probably overdone the colouring

No criticism from me on the first one Billy. It tick all the boxes for me, focus spot on, contrast even across the disc and the colour is just the right kind of subtle. I love it.

First of all there very nice photo's, however, I think the first one lacks a little contract while the second one has too much! something in between the two would be spot on.

In the second image my eyes are pulled first to Copernicus, then Tyco and the limb where I notice the edge.
