One thing you may want to check are the flat frames. I made synthetic flat frames with StarTools but still had to lose quite a bit around the edges of the frame. HTH EDIT: forgot. I wasn't aware of this nebula - and what a great name it has - so thanks for drawing my attention to it. If the clouds part then I may give this a shot. What exposure time were you using?
