Does anyone know what size thread the locking rod is in the picture below??

Ouch, remind me never to over tighten my clutch.

It will be metric so just measure the width with a caliper including threads and round to the closest milimetre.

That doesn't look particlarly good. I hope the internal thread in the mount is not as bad. I see there are shoulders on the locking rod but, given the total length of the threaded portion, would it be possible to cut off the length of stripped thread?

Thanks Adam, but I have to say this is not my screw and mine isn't this bad.

Possible but I think only if I remove some off the shoulder

Found that  Optical Vision Ltd sell these  azimuth  screws for £6 , ordered and arrived the next day, really impressed with the company.
