First try

Looks like tue 8th Dec is going to be a clear night, just got the Sky Watcher AZ-GTI head to use with my Dslr and 70-200mm lens or my SX50 bridge camera ....... so I need suggestions  as what might be best to start with on that night, I have a good view from East to South/west and not too bad light pollution.

So any thoughts would be greatly received .... Thanks

With that view I think I'd point SW at the milkyway around 100mm for a nice wide field view stacked.

Thanks for the quick reply ... can you name a star for my goto to find the rough centre of the milky way.

Or perhaps Altair or use a wider lens and get the summer triangle, deneb, altair, vega
