Firecapture settings with Celestron 102 SLT

Recommended Posts

I have a Celestron NexStar 102 SLT and the NexImage 5 imager.

The imager is working through Firecapture and I can control the telescope using Cartes du Ciel.

However, when I connect the telescope to Firecapture using the ASCOM compatible mount and Initialize interface. I then get a pop-up saying it will try to initialize Autoguider interface. So from the ASCOM Telescope Chooser I select the Celestron Telescope Driver. A pop-up says the Autoguider is initialized and ready. But then I get another pop-up saying it couldn't resolve a valid guiding rate for that mount from the ASCOM interface and I need to insert a valid guiding rate by hand for proper guiding operation.

Please can someone help me with what I need to do?

Scroll down the left panel to ensure that you haven't checked the autoguide option. Uncheck it if you have.

I found that by entering a value in the guiding rate it works. Only problem is I don't really know what value to actually use!😀

Is there a way of finding out the best/correct values to use.

There are a number of tutorials on the Firecapture website http://www.firecapture.de/
