Quick Heads Up - Jupiter Tonight

According to some web calculators, GRS 21:30 and also transit of Europa and subsequent shadow transit around same time.

Will be out with my C8.  Hope weather stays good for all!

The seeing in Leeds is terrible. GRS seen easily, but very watery viewing tonight.

Same in Nottingham. I could just about make out the GRS but no chance of Europa or the the shadow. My first confirmed sighting of the GRS though so pleased with that and thanks for the heads up.

No probs. I struggled with Europa’s shadow, I couldn’t see it at first. Then using the moons app I found that I was looking at the wrong side of J’s disc.  I saw it very very weakly / fleetingly. Terrible seeing tonight doh!

Same here last night, way too bad seeing (fast jetstream). Made out the GRS but not much more. Too bad.
