Horizontal lines when stacking

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

I'm still very new to this so please forgive me if this is a newbie mistake of some sort.

I'm running into a strange issue lately, when I import my files to DeepSkyStacker all light frames have a severe horizontal line pattern on them which is obviously no better in the final stacked image.. below is a screenshot of a single FITS file, it is a shot of Andromeda at 120 seconds with a ZWO 178MC camera, but the lines also appear on lower exposure times.

The funny part is, I also have the trail version of Pixinsight which processes the files without those issues 🤷‍♂️

So I'm wondering now.. is this some kind of glitch in my DSS software or should I get a new camera? 🤔

Apologies for the silence :D I have been fighting for a while, ended up fully reinstalling it and then reset back to default settings to be sure and that worked :) But I'll update to the latest version anyways.. thanks for the heads up ;)
