Horizontal lines when stacking

Hey guys,

I'm still very new to this so please forgive me if this is a newbie mistake of some sort.

I'm running into a strange issue lately, when I import my files to DeepSkyStacker all light frames have a severe horizontal line pattern on them which is obviously no better in the final stacked image.. below is a screenshot of a single FITS file, it is a shot of Andromeda at 120 seconds with a ZWO 178MC camera, but the lines also appear on lower exposure times.

The funny part is, I also have the trail version of Pixinsight which processes the files without those issues 🤷‍♂️

So I'm wondering now.. is this some kind of glitch in my DSS software or should I get a new camera? 🤔

I'm using 4.2.3 which appears to be the latest version

OK. Presumably the lights do not show these lines before importing?

Correct, if I open them in a FITS previewer they look normal and that's basically what Pixinisight confirms with stacking them normally

Have you checked the RAW/FITS DDP Settings?

I remember having this problem before myself but I cannot remember how I fixed it. I think I had a box ticked that I shouldn't have.

I know this isn't much help but at least you know it's not your camera

There have been a few problems with 4.2.3 over the past few days, they're up to 4.2.5 with the test builds.

But your problem may just be settings.

Apologies for the silence I have been fighting for a while, ended up fully reinstalling it and then reset back to default settings to be sure and that worked But I'll update to the latest version anyways.. thanks for the heads up
