T Ring for My Canon

Recommended Posts

Dear All,

I am a complete newbie. I have a Celestron 130eq. I have a canon EOS1100D. I recently bought a Gosky T ring with adapter https://www.amazon.ae/dp/B013DID11A/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_y9AmFb8TR66W0  that said it's compatible with all canon EOS. However the t ring doesn't fit my camera. How do I purchase the correct t ring.

Also I just tried the adapter inside my telescope eyepiece. As there are no threads but just two side screw, I didn't feel it sturdy enough. So am I going about this whole thing wrong?

I’m with Dave in this. Assuming you have lined the mount up correctly with the alignment marks, if it doesn’t fit, it sounds like they’ve sent the wrong mount.
I have the same scope as you. I bought this mount  https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000237C9M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

it fits with no problems.
I added this barlow https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00009X3UV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I can hang my EOS6d off it with no problems. Looks a bit precarious, but it’s all solid

i was able to take this with it.

+1 for what Brian said.

There will be a red or white dot on the T Ring, that has to be aligned with a red or white dot on the camera lens mount, before entering the T Ring into the lens mount and twisting to lock.

The bayonets on the T Ring are not identical to each other.

With the red dot on the camera and the red dot on the adapter lined up it should drop into slots on the camera before rotating a very short distance and locking.

I doesn't screw in just clips in the same as a lens.

The two screws in the eyepiece holder should be sufficient to hold it ok.
