Half Moon Mosaic, 29 May 2020

Here's a four panel mosaic using a FLT98, 2x Powermate and ASI178MM. Each panel is 15% of 900 frames. Exposure 5mS, Camera gain 150. Stacked in Autostakkert 3, sharpened in Imppg, and manually stiched with final touches in Photoshop. I try to avoid too much sharpening so some may think it's a little soft. 🙂

Here's a crop of the mosaic to show the detail.

Wow Alan. That’s pretty awesome. Processing looks on point 👍🏼

Thanks. 😉 When I focused on a nearby star with a bahtinov mask it was dancing all over the place so I wasn't too hopeful on a good image but am happy as to how it turned out. I did capture the following two nights as well and it was a bit more stable but I haven't processed those yet.

I always want to image the moon when I see results like this. Look forward to your next two images
