Tele vue 2" barlow 1.25 adaptor missing compression ring

So not noticed it was missing until now, after 4 years of ownership. (see attaching picture).

No idea when it went missing, don't actually recall ever seeing it being there is first place. I am assuming it was brass and as such would have shown up easily.

I was going to strip one from another adaptor I have until I realised the TV is narrower in fitting width and tube diameter and so would not fit. 

Solutions explored so far are simply astroboot, but getting one runs the risk of buying something that also does not fit.

I could try contacting TV but I am thinking my missing compression ring will be low down the priorities when they return to work from lockdown. ( I am well informed they currently are in lockdown shutdown)

Is anyone on here aware of anyone who could make a replacement ring for this. Happy to pay going price, it's not an immediate thing I need but it's something I want as like any piece of good kit it is just part of how it should be.

 I bought one second-hand and was puzzled by the absence of a compression ring myself but it didn't bother me.

This posting in Cloudy Nights is a bit old but raises the question, did it have a compression ring in the first place?

One responder said he replaced the metal screw with a nylon one and feels comfortable with that.

Neither my Tele Vue 1.25" 2x Barlow nor my PBI have compression rings, although neither has a groove for one.  The PBI use a brass screw.
