Problem with venus in daytime.

Recommended Posts

I am using my Celestron Nexstar 127 SLT and I am trying to align it to Venus but to no avail... I did the solar system align method with the sun and leveled my scopes but still nothing. tried to move my telescope around to find it in the FOV but no... :(

As i type its currently just under 50 degrees high, just over 30 degrees from the Sun. Make a fist and use your oustretched arm to judge where in the sky Venus currently is.

I use this method every time i am looking for Venus during daylight. Venus is going to get very close to the Sun so i would recommend this method for much longer.

These positions can be found free on planets tab on https://www.calsky.com/
