The Bubble Nebula

Recommended Posts

A couple of days back I was lucky enough to get a few hours of cloudless skies.

This is 3 min subs for Ha and 5 min for OIII, synthesised green channel and Ha used for Luminence. About 20 subs were used in all for each channel. There was quite a lot of mist about but I think I got the essence of it. Using my WO Megrez 90 and the SXV-H9, guided with the LX200.

with the bubble neb, you are fighting hard to get good O[iII] signal, so make sure you show it.

a touch less green, but make sure its still there.

nice pic!

instead of a synthed green, you could try synthing blue by using 1/3 Ha, since the Hbeta line is 1/3 as strong as ha.

Make that 'fake' Hbeta blue, and use O[iII] for green, Ha for red.

Its a different take, and you could see how you like it.
