Yea read that but still don’t get it

Starry Night is a planetarium programme, just like Stellarium or Cartes du Ciel. Depending on your telescope you will get either the Special Edition or Basic version. The Special Edition version also has the ability to control your mount through a computer. The basic versionis hust a planetarium programme without mount control.

Celestron and PlaneWave Instruments telescope control software CWPI

So what’s the difference between that and starry night and skyalign

skyalign is what I use on the mount

start night if planetarium software

what’s CWPI ? Do I need it and if so is instead of Sky align

Starry Night is a planetarium programme which with some versions has mount control. CPWI is a more comprehensive mount control programme. You will need neither if you intend to just use the handset to control the mount.
