Scope choice

I have a budget of £500 ..what scope would of people recommend. I’m interested in the Celestron Nexstar 127 SLT or the skywatcher 127 skyscan  goto .. only interested in viewing planets and the moon , not interested in photography etc I’d be interested to hear peoples views please

This would show you more than enough with money to spare.

What about DSO ?

You never mentioned DSO's on your post,yes the goto is great for finding fainter objects,but a 5" mirror v a 10" mirror,is no contest for DSO's.

than the NexStar 130 SLT or the Skymax 127 ?

Im sure they are great scopes,i suppose other factors come in to play,ie portability,space grab and go,but you will see a lot more in the likes of a 10" or even an 8" scope.Its not easy picking a scope,but it is what suites your own needs.

Will you be observing from your backyard or will you have to haul it somewhere in a car to observe?
