Quick Moon - 4th April 2020

Just a quick Moon tonight through the 8” f8. This was using a fonemate adaptor on a 24mm Panoptic, ProCam 7 app and a bit of processing on PS Express.

Great shot, Stu. I often look at my own efforts and think “Stu’s images are sharper”! For example, here’s one of my better efforts from last night. 

Although, I posted it on my astro society’s FB group today and got a comment along the lines of “you proper astrophotographers don’t even bother to flip the image so the Moon is the right way around”. Made me chuckle. Never been called a proper astrophotographer before. Not even when I won a StuPOD 😉

Snap 😉 I agree- Stu’s phone images are incredible. Interesting Stu got a green fringe and I got a blue one with my xw24. Yours is really nice too- loads of detail in there with the lower exposure 👍

Strange isn’t it. I guess it is eyepiece related, not from the scope at least and the Moon was high so shouldn’t be atmospheric.
