I'll explain.

I decided to stay in the living room over night (xmass day night....man flue, to save her indoors giving me a fat lip with coughing sneezing & so on.)

Any how, the dog needed to go out at about 3am boxing morning we had the best dark sky for a long time!

I had one of the best meteor showers I'v seen, one streek in particular went through Auriga Gemini & so on & lasted for a good 5 secs. My question is this can we get remnent's from the Geminid shower which peaked on the 13th Dec' or can we get meteor's from the Ursid meteor shower streaking across the southern sky where the show was from the 17-25 Dec? :scratch:

Interesting you say that... my next door neighbour was around last night whilst I was imaging and he counted 5 meteors in the space of about 5 minutes in that vicinity.

I was looking in that area with my big bins at about 11-11.30 and I was seeing faint meteors pretty well constantly - estimate about a dozen in 15-20 minutes - suspect I wouldn't have seen them naked eye.
