Surprisingly some clear skies popped along this afternoon after the biting wind and hail we had. Yet again my little grab and go setup proved its worth, setup in moments and showing good detail even before the sun set.

The Leica Zoom provides an excellent range in the Telementor, x47 to x94, and I explored using various different mags depending on the features.

Theophilus is right on the Terminator currently, and two central peaks are visible in this scope. The Altai range is also very brightly illuminated nearby. Others or note were Posidonius and Chacornac on the terminator, and nearer the limb Hercules and Atlas looked distinct. The very textured area near Mount Argaeus showed lots of contrast. Plenty more obviously, but these ones caught my eye.

This is a handheld camera shot with my iPhone 11 Pro using the x2 camera and the ProCam app, with a little tweaking in PS Express.

That's beautiful Stu!

My seeing had a bit of a wobble on last night, but it was still enjoyable.

First pic shows a blurry star alongside earthshine. 25mm Parks X30. i-phone hand held.
