Imaging Comets.

Always thought it would be cool to image a comet, absolutely not clue how I should go about doing it though. Anybody got any tips?

I would start by perusing the comet imaging board. Lots of people have been imaging C/2017 T2 PANSTARRS lately. I did the Perseus Double Cluster a month or so ago with that comet. There's a couple ways to stack the frames. You can stack on the starfield or stack on the comet itself. I stacked on the field and let the comet show up as a streak. I then went back and used the luminance frames to create an animation of just the comet. Shorter exposures are good for comets so they don't streak too much, but if you can guide on the comet, then you can get really long exposures.
