Skywatcher Esprit 150 First Impressions

Recommended Posts

Thank you very much, John.  Very useful information.

Regarding the focuser, I fitted a replacement to my Meade 127.  No collimation issues, and it transformed the scope.  I can certainly recommend the Teleskop Service focusers,  It may well be that they have one which will fit your Esprit without needing modifications.  A fair bit cheaper than Feathertouch, although I know (my TMB 105 has one) that they are the Rolls Royce iof focusers.

I have home built stepper motor drives on my Esprit 150s, these, along with adjustment of the existing focusers, prevents any slippage when carrying the usual load of camera, OAG and filter wheel.
