EQ6 (Black manual version) RA 2x speed only moves in one direction, why?

Anyone know why an EQ6 only moves in one direction in RA at 2x speed when using the hand controller buttons? When using 8x and 16x it moves in both directions. You can swap which button moves it in 2x by using the RA rev switch on the side. Not sure what's going on or if this is normal, anyone know? Cheers.

That's the way they work, including EQ3, EQ5 and HEQ5 with basic dual axis drives. Pressing the left? RA button effectively stops the mount.

Thanks. Do you know what the purpose is for this? Not sure why you'd want to stop the mount?

Stopping the mount has the same effect as reversing it, just a little slower.   😀
