Mounting a DSLR on top of my Astro Professional 102ED

Hi All,

I'd like to be able to put my DSLR on top of the 102 to be able to take long exposures. Can anyone advise where to find a suitable adaptor to allow me to connect the 2 together?

Interesting question. Whatever works for that, would it work on other scopes? I'll be interested to see the solutions.

But how to I attach the other end to the EQ6? I've already got a full dual dovetail bar with an AP 102ED and a GSO 6"...

I cannot find any mention of a Mini Dovetail kit.

Are they holes in the top of the tube rings Richie ? If so, if they are the right threadsize, what about a piggyback bolt ? If not, maybe some form of qr adatper could be fitted using the hole and an appropriate screw ?

Yeah - some sort of piggyback bolt is exactly what I am after - but I can't find one

Any thoughts on where to get one?

In times past I knew a shop that you could take something like this into, and they would do it - nowadays, its all pre-packed stuff

Sorry Richie, I don't, I used mine for the SatCatcher... They appear to arrive fitted to the standard skywatcher tube rings, may be someone has a spare fitted that they don't use (psst... It's John btw )
