Jura mountains looking good

Just had a little while on the Moon with my 50mm spotting scope. Looking nice tonight, despite clouds whipping through on the strong breeze.

The Jura mountains are hanging out into the blackness tonight which is always a great view. Worth a look if you have any clear skies.

I could only manage some quick views with my 11x70 binoculars this evening but the "hook" of the Jura Mountains was prominent and quite striking

Glad you caught it John. I was only at x22 but it did look good. Copernicus was pretty clear too, near the terminator and also what I believe were the Carpatus Mountains which ran from just above Copernicus across to the terminator

Beautiful image, the Moon did look very nice again last night. I was out with the binoculars, like John mostly due to the very gusty wind! Saw a few Perseid's as well.
