The Moon (iPhone 8)

Hi,

This is my very first photo of The Moon, taken through a Celestron NexStar 6SE with a 25mm eyepiece. The phone was hand held and the photo processed on the phone by pressing the edit button and adjusting a bit the parameters of the image like contrast, light, highlights, shadows, etc.

I’m a total newbie, so, don’t judge me too hard ( he, he 😀).

Great image.

People occasionally ask me if I can see craters on the Moon with my scopes. Of course I can, but showing them some fancy image won't impress them so much as the quick snap I took with my phone. They can relate to that. They understand it's showing what their eyes would have seen at the telescope!
