Difference in Processing in PS and PI

Recommended Posts

Hi all, fairly new to AP and have been using PhotoShop for my processing. Only realising now how much I was pushing my data when using PS. First image is with PS and second with PI. By no means decent processing as still learning but the difference is very noticeable. I just cannot seem to get the same (Minimal) processing in PS.

Good images can be produced with either. The same goes for bad images. Both programs have their learning curve. Just use which ever feels better. If you stick with it, learn, and have fun at the same time, you're doing fine.

There is no reason to over-process in Photoshop. In general I'd say that more over-processed images come from PI but, again, they don't have to, and most PI users are easing off on the loud pedal these days! I think Paul has hit the nail on the head. Use the one with which you feel most comfortable or - probably the best way - use both.
