Serpens, IC 1103 a distant galaxy

A bit of a noisy shot but this little chap is a touch over a billion light years away. A mag 16 elliptical - the fuzz patch with a bright core  just to the right of centre and up a bit.

Good one! It must be a quite monstrous size to not appear stellar at that distance. There is another monstrous elliptical, IC 1101, relatively nearby in the sky that is also that sort of distance and yet can be seen as a fuzzy. (Mag 14.7 according to Wikipedia.)
