Hello everyone

Just adding a couple of my own to the terrific images posted today after a glorious day of beautiful spring sunshine, does anyone have any advice when using false colour in Gimp as I always make a pigs ear of it whenever I attempt it,its more for when I attempt to do overlaying of a disc onto flares to get a colour image.

Thanks

Tony

I would lose to much sleep over it, it is purely aesthetic anyway. I tend to just do a adjust colour balance and leave it orange, but not to bright or "orange" as long as it doesn't effect any detail I am satisfied.

A nice looking disc and close up, with some decent detail visible.

I use the Colours > Levels control and adjust the red, green and blue channels until I am happy with the results. Once you find something you are happy with you can save those settings so that you can reuse the same settings next time.
