Teleconverter for astrophotography?

Hi all, I'm wondering if teleconverters are any good for astrophotography using a dslr and zoom lens, nice and quick question, thanks, Arran

Mine works great for handheld Lunar imaging with a lens, some TCs will even work with scopes too but depends on camera and TC and if you get an error message or not, far better than a barlow lens.

Hi, Alan thanks for your reply, are TC's any good at deep sky astrophotography, because I have a vintage 70-200mm lens which I'm using but would adding a TC make it too blurry, as I've read that they reduce sharpness?

A TC would be no use for any DSO imaging, you will get far better results with your lens without one.
