I'm struggling with thin, high cloud again today but have proms at my  6.30, 9.30 and 10.00.

Can't confirm correct orientation yet because Gong isn't showing anything matching.

Probably the best day here so far this year, wall to wall sunshine and decent seeing. Solar views good today, varied selection of prom shapes scattered round the disc which itself was as blank as a blank thing. More of the same forecast for tomorrow then that's about it for a while.   ?

Hi Peter,

I moved my etalon to the correct 200mm and obtained far more even results on the disk.
Seeing conditions were much better too so may have had a hand in my better views.

There were some nice proms leaning drunkenly or standing bolt upright.
A couple of loops seen almost edge on.

I meant to ask about GONG H-a.
Is there lack of early warning of proms the result of  their being behind us time wise?
I often see things long before they show up on GONG.
