Fruits of last Saturday night. Fantastically clear but bitter cold!!

Horse Head and Barnards Loop taken with the following...

Canon 450D Modded / Canon 200 mm f2.8 USM @f4 / Vixen Photo guider. 45 x 120 sec subs (unguided) @ iso 800. Stacked in DSS with calibration frames. Processed in Photoshop.

Lovely! My pc froze after 3 subs on the clearest night I’d seen last weekend. I didn’t realise until 5 hours later ?

ouch.... that sucks.      Latest gaff I had was stepping on the 5m long USB cable in the dark.  a) broke the USB socket on the laptop. b) damaged the end of the cable  c) laptop landed on the wet mud where the lawn used to be... d) wrecked polar and star  alignment    e) like yourself had only managed one or two subs (LUM)....out of an 4 hour run.......

On a positive note.  @Vixen4eva..    Great picture.  Lots going on there.
