M76 - processing help needed

I've spent all day trying to coax something out of this but I'm ready to give up now. 23 x 45 seconds and 30 x 25 seconds. I couldn't get any kind of image in DSS and this is what Registrax gave me. If anyone wants to have a go at it feel free.

Well, you've made a good effort with your 'little dumbbell' - a very difficult object by all accounts! I tried a fairly brutal approach trying to bring out as much as I could...

You might find that DSS couldn't pick up enough stars. Try adjusting the star detection threshold in the advanced tab on the stacking screen to get a bigger number and then see what happens (DSS doesn't like working with less than about 7 stars I think )

This is a tough target to get any detail on even with long exposures.

I had a quick play but there really isnt anything of consequence that I can see in the little data supplied that is worth bringing out.

Sometimes its perhaps better to come back to the target and start afresh, I know I wish I had learnt that lesson in the early stages, instead of trying to force something from nothing John's done well with that jpeg to get that.
