NGC 891 .. the "Outer Limits Galaxy". So called because it featured on the credits of the 1960s TV show of the same name.  Edge on spiral galaxy 27 million light years away and 100,000 light years across, somewhat similar to the Milky Way. The dust lanes look like a miniature version of the summer Milky Way.  Also featured are NGC 898, another edge on spiral, which is about ten times farther away and many more fainter galaxies. (and those annoying ASI1600 microlens reflections)  Imaged  2, 3 and 7 November from Berkshire. Esprit 150ED, ASI1600mm, AZEQ-6. 150x60s Lum and 30x120s each RGB. Processed in Pixinsight and Photoshop.

Thanks for looking

Dave
