Seeing is everything

A few weeks ago a challenge to split Epsilon Lyrae at the lowest power was issued and at that time the best I could do was 64X (  I believe) with my Tak FC100. The sky tonight is pretty stable and so I started with the same challenge and straight away, using a Nagler 13 T6, the split at 57X was very clear, so in went a 16 Nagler T5 and still a pretty good split at 46x. I feel that I could go lower, at least a bit lower, but I do not have a close enough eyepiece to do so.

The moon is now reasonably high so that will be the target for the rest of this session.

Well done!

I'd say x46 is getting close to the limit. Beats my x49 with the Genesis......

I would agree, it is just a pity that I had nothing else to try. The stable atmosphere was definitely the deciding factor compared to last time. The vertical pair split more cleanly than the horizontal pair.
