Forgot to reply to this thread at the time, but thanks everyone. Took me a lot of attempts to frame up the dish and Milky Way as the tripod legs were retracted and I couldn't look through the viewfinder.

The caldera shot is a beauty, does anyone know where it was taken?

Thank you  From the ‘Mirador Los Andennes’ on Roque de Los Muchachos in La Palma. ( a viewpoint on the road about half a mile or so past the observatories going east).

Nicely done on your image  - especially without a viewfinder!!
