carastro
Got the colour for the outer area of this image in the only 17 1/2 minutes of clear sky I could access (after polar alignment etc) at Kelling on Thursday. This is still a WIP. Its noisy as still trying to acquire sufficient data, but since it has already taken me 2 years to get this far I thought it was time to post it up. I took the middle of the image (the nebula) as a close up at Kelling Heath 2 years ago in 2016 with the Atik314L & ED120 but then realised there was some nice detail in the area around the Nebula and have been trying to gather Luminance ever since, including at our local astro camp. So last weekend I tried to get colour for the outer area, but there was very little clear sky and only managed 150secs 3 x Red, 2 x bue, 2 x green all binned x 2 (dodging between the clouds). Using WO ZS71 & Atik460EX. Have lost the plot with so many attempts at this as to how much Luminance there is, but it won't be more than about 2 - 3 hours in total.
